Assessing a general state of the Amur region petroglyphs on the basis of the 2002-2003 expeditions' results, it is possible to underline two basic problems:
- The process of loss and distraction of natural and anthropogenic character has been disparately going. Taking as a startpoint the distinct notes of academician A.P. Okladnikov in late sixties, it's possible to state that during last 30-40 years had been lost the separate petroglyphs, but the whole clusters of rock drawings. For instance, it's almost entirely lost the third petroglyphs cluster, on the Ussury river close to Sheremetyevskoe settlement it's entirely lost the first petroglyphs cluster etc.;
- The Vast majority of the petroglyphs are hard accessible and known only by a small number of specialists, local hunters and fishermen, or boarder officers. A Rich cultural-ethnographic potential of our region is not fully used, except for a change of situation in Sycachi-Alyan settlement, where in 2000 the practical work had started on fulfillment of corresponding order of the governor.
