Курт Шмидт и Альберт Бабаев The story of creation of non-commercial organization "Amur Region Historical Heritage Fund" had began when Albert Leonidovich Babayev - its future founder and president had attended an exposition of the great culture epochs relieves in Iphofen, Germany by personal invitation of the KNAUF private museum director Mr. Curt Schmitt in May, 2001.

This museum keeps the exact copies of the ancient art masterpieces collected from all over the world.

Being aware of the ancient Amur petroglyphs' preservation problem, Albert Leonidovich on his return to Khabarovsk paid a serious attention to the newest technologies of restoration, conservation and copy casting of the monuments of history and culture.

Aside of his principal occupation, Babayev and his friend and follower Anatoly Sudakov ( later the fund's co-founder and vice-president ) managed to purchase the required materials and equipment to create a laboratory with a test and experiment line and achieve the first positive results.

In October, 2002 backed by support of the Science and Production Center designated for preservation and use of the Khabarovsk region's cultural and historic relics, there were prepared and accomplished an expedition to the archeological monument "Sycachi Alyan Petroglyphs", where 4 pieces of an ancient man's rock drawings had been copied the way of casting.

The development of this extraordinary project with a scale of events increasingly held fell from "just a hobby" category and the further financing based on enthusiasts' personal savings became too much heavy.

For organization of stable and sufficient financing and efforts consolidation in above-mentioned direction, Albert Babayev and Anatoly Sudakov established the "Amur Region Historical Heritage Fund" on October 6, 2003.

The fund's purpose and goals had been defined in all-around program, approved by the board of guardians.
