A Head of the Far East Art Museum, a honorary representative of the Russian Federation Culture Department. She has been working for the Khabarovsk Region Culture Departments over 20 years in the field of museum management and construction.
From 1980 to 1985 V.A.Zaporozhskaya worked as a head of the Khabarovsk Komsomolsk Honor Museum, being a driving force of the museum opening.
From 1985 up to the present, she holds the position of the Far East Art Museum Director.
During her leadership years, the entire collection has grown from 7 up to 12 thousands exhibits, the museum moved to a new house.
Presently, the Far East Art Museum holds 12 thousands exhibits ranging from the Antique Art Masterpieces to experimental paintings of the XXI century's inception.
In the field of scientific research the museum professionals collaborate with the specialists of Hermitage and Tretyakov Gallery, museums of Warsaw, Dresden, Paris and London.
The exciting exhibitions of the recent years - are, most of all, result of V.A. Zaporozhskaya's personal drive and active attitude. A list of those includes: an exposition from the USA "The Faces of Hope and Harmony" (1998), Moscow banks' collection "West European Engraving of the 20th century" (the works of Dali, Sikeiros, Miro, Picasso), an exposition from Japan "The Japanese air snakes and whipping tops" (1999), the South Korean "Contemporary Art Photography" (2000), a joint project of the museum and Khabarovsk eparchy "An orthodox temple: the eternity - as it is seen by eyes of the young" (2001), from Sankt-Peterburg "Kredo" (2002).
Valentina Alaxandrovna promoted an establishment of the museum branch in the aboriginal settlement Sycachi-Alyan.
An objective of the branch, opened in summer 2002, is seen by its director Zaporozhskaya not only in the new expositions’ scientific base maintenance for the local specialists, but also in discovery of the young settlement's talents, an educational programs design the rural school and help to the local intellectuals.
V.A.Zaporozhskaya is a member of the Khabarovsk Ministry of Culture Board.
In 1998 V.A.Zaparozhskaya was awarded a title "The Distinguished Culture Professional of the Russian Federation".
In 1999 V.A.Zaporozhskaya became the Dyachenko Prize Laureate presented by Khabarovsk administration. |
